Finally Finished?

As some of you may know, I've been going to school to City College of San Francisco. And I am happy to say that hopefully I am finally finished. I will be receiving my diploma hopefully in 6 to 18 weeks. Don't ask me why it takes that long but it does. It will be an Associates of Science, with an emphasis of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Inconsistancy in Reality

When I hear that 61% of Californians voted for Prop 22 the Knight initiative as being the will of all Californians I laugh.
The reason being that Reality it was 61% of a small fraction of the 36,553,215. From the California Secretary of State website the number of voters that voted for Prop 22 was an astoundingly low number of 4,618,673. that would be roughly 12% of the Population of the State.

Is it really will of the people if the people that voted for it is less than the people that it affects? There are in California an estimated 6 million Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender people.

Simply put Vote No on Amendment 8 the Christian right does not have Majority in this state!!!

For a party so entrenched in the Conservative Values that Marriage needs protecting from the LGBT community, I find it interesting that so many have been married then got divorced, some more than once. Only one of these Republicans actually had the guts to bring up a ban on divorce but it never came up to a vote on the Floor due to a Filibuster from his own party’s members.

Bob Barr had this to say on his writing of DOMA

"Indeed, the primary reason for which I authored the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996 was to ensure that each state remained free to determine for its citizens the basis on which marriage would be recognized within its borders, and not be forced to adopt a definition of marriage contrary to its views by another state. The decision in California is an illustration of how this principle of states' powers should work."

Unfortunately Mr. Barr what about the other 1,847 rights given by the Federal Government that your bill still bans LGBT community from having.

Three Days ago Barack Obama announced in a letter confirmed by his campaign that "And that is why I oppose the divisive and discriminatory efforts to amend the California Constitution, and similar efforts to amend the U.S. Constitution or those of other states,"

He is also For repealing DOMA

I originally voted For Hillary but now with my Pledge I will vote My party ticket PROUDLY

Pure insanity senate

As Pride weekend comes the Senate of the United States brings up Senate Joint Resolution #43 AKA Defense of Marriage Act its Supporters Vitter Craig and Brownback.
Vitter of course was tied to the DC madam by his phone number and had this to say
This was a very serious sin in my past for which I am, of course, completely responsible.
And the Canal Street Madam
On July 12, Cortez told the Times-Picayune that Vitter was "a regular customer" during his time in the state legislature, but that they "did not have a romantic relationship."
The Times-Picayune reported that the woman, whose real name was Wendy Ellis, had passed a lie detector exam
Larry Craig ;on August 27, 2007 the Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call revealed that Craig had been arrested for lewd conduct in the men's bathroom at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on June 11, 2007, and pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct on August 8, 2007.[6] As a result of the controversy surrounding his arrest and subsequent guilty plea, Senator Craig announced his intention to resign from the Senate at a news conference on September 1, 2007, which was to become effective on September 30, 2007. After failing to withdraw his guilty plea, on October 4, 2007, Craig released a statement refusing to resign as Senator for Idaho.
Sam Brownback was a cosponsor of the Constitution Restoration Act, which would have limited the power of federal courts to rule on church/state issues. He chairs the Senate Values Action Team, an off-the-record weekly meeting of representatives from religious conservative organizations.
All three of these individuals praised the US Supreme Court today for there ruling on D.C.s Gun ban saying that it is Unconstitutional.
Lets ban gay marriage and have a shooting party… Lovely

Quotes from the gay side

''If you want my professional opinion, that boy's gayer than a handbag full of rainbows.'' Weeds

When I was in the military they gave me a medal for killing two men and a discharge for loving one. ~Epitaph of Leonard P. Matlovich

Why can't they have gay people in the army? Personally, I think they are just afraid of a thousand guys with M16s going, "Who'd you call a faggot?" ~John Stewart

If Michelangelo had been straight, the Sistine Chapel would have been wallpapered. ~Robin Tyler

The Lord is my Shepherd and he knows I'm gay. ~Troy Perry

Congrats to all in the hinterland! I just got married a few hours ago. I know I live in a rarified environ here in SF, and I'm hoping this mindset will spread over the entire state, then the nation. On a cynical note, it would certainly be a boon to the economy, a much more productive one than that of the latest bush handout. Which, by the way I used to pay for my license, ceremony and our cute ring bearers dress. SFGATE

"I'm almost 65 years old, and I'm amazed this happened in my lifetime," he said, crying.

May is almost here

Lets see, as of the weekend, Ed Jew has left the city of San Francisco officially turning over the title to his relatives so that he can afford his legal fees. Now all he has is that silly Burlingame house that got him in trouble the first time.

The Olympic Torch left San Francisco burnt to the tune of 700 million on top of our already mounting debt to get rid of (thanks Gavin you should have said NO the first time).

Right now even though its April out there the temperature is a windy 48 with wind-chill a dismally cold 39 degrees.

Monday the Ballot amendments signatures are due to eliminate all rights pertaining to Domestic Partnerships. Hopefully they will have thousands if not hundreds of thousands of invalid signatures.

Students will be marching for Education as Lawmakers are set to vote on millions of cuts to K-UC funding to help bridge the Budgets gaping deficit.

Last but not least is that gas has just hit a whopping $4.00 a gallon average in the Bay area, meaning a fill up will now cost on average about $80.
